Hello everyone,

It has been a while since the last time I posted. Life has been busy, work has been busy, etc. There have been so many great opportunities to play fabulous music and work with many different wonderful musicians.

Music updates:

  1. Named the Principal Oboe of the Sault Symphony Orchestra with a lovely group of people that make each weekend enjoyable. Hightlights include Dvorak Symphony 9, Tchaikovsky Symphony 1, and and Bohemian Rhapsody!
  2. Named the Associate Principal Oboe and English horn of the Traverse City Philharmonic. Highlights include Pines of Rome, Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez, Beethoven Symphony 7, and The Planets (OMG Bass Oboe!!!)
  3. Finally, getting the recording my book, Expanding Your Toolbox: A guide to beginning contemporary techniques for oboe. Stay tuned for the recordings to be made available!

Work life updates:

Named the Director of the Community Music School of the Traverse City Philharmonic and get to work with many dedicated educators in the region to enable more access to quality Music Education options. Highlights include working with the Grand Traverse Children’s Garden, Traverse Area District Libraries, and the TCAPS schools.

A few trips for fun and work, but most importantly the family got to come to several which always make it better! More to come.

Picture is from this past summer’s fabulous series outdoors at the Civic Center in Traverse City. No better place to be in the summer at a super fun John Williams Movie Music concert!
